Gurdwara nanak niwas

Image
Gurdwara is an integral part of the Sikh society. Wherever the Sikhs went in the world, the first institution they ever established after making arrangements for their living and shelter was always a gurdwara. It was so because the gurdwara was not only a source to meet their religious needs but it was also a center of their cultural, social, and political activities. Outside India, in the beginning, gurdwaras not only met the collective needs of the Sikh community but also played a multi-dimensional role as multi-purpose organizations for all Indians including Hindus, Muslims and Parsis. For the purpose of research in the history of the Canadian Sikhs, the old record of the first gurdwara is the only most important and most authentic historical source today. So, It would not be an exaggeration to say that the history of the Sikhs in Canada can never be separated from the history of the Gurdwaras. Gurdwara Nanak Niwas 8600, No. 5 Road, Richmond is the third stage of the historical jour...

Image
The Gastown Steam Clock  Gastown Steam Clock is a famous landmark located in Vancouver's historic Gastown district. It was built in 1977 by clockmaker Raymond Saunders and is one of the few steam clocks in the world. The clock is powered by a combination of steam and electric motors, and it whistles and shoots steam every quarter hour, making it a popular attraction for tourists. Actually I visited there when I came in Canada. I visited in Vancouver to search a job but when I reach at that street that time I found that many people were suroundered there I got confused what's happening but then I saw individuals were clicking pictures of themselves or the steam clock it looks really nice I also clicked pics there to save it in my memories. If I got a chance in future then I will definitely go there and explore how it really works and try to know the technique which is made by Raymond Saunders to make it.

Bear creek park

Image
I recently visited at Bear Creek Park which is situated at 13750 88 Avenue, Surrey, BC V3W 3L1. It provides numerous activities and facilities for visitors like playgrounds, gardens and a mini train ride for people of all ages. During summer, people can enjoy a swimming pool which is situated outdoors. The park also has a running track, area for dogs, a playground for soccer and football and other sports.  The natural view of the park relaxes the mind and body and it's a house of numerous birds and animals like bears, coyotes, bald eagles, and peregrine falcons. But honestly, I saw only rabbits and squirrels because I didn't get the chance to explore the whole park due to the construction work going on there. But this park still offers many opportunities for exploration and enjoyment. While exploring the park, I found a stone where I found a poem which I would like to share with you it's called Poetry Rock Rev. Dr. Byung Sub Van | 2009 The engraved poem "Mere Water ...
